EMPOWERMENT OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN ESTABLISHING A SAFE COMMUNITY: PROMOTIVE EFFORTS TO CONTROL AND MANAGEMENT OF TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS IN LAMONGAN

Introduction: Traffic accidents can have an impact both physically, psychologically, and socially. People still low awareness knowledge in driving providing first aid to victims of traffic accidents. Students become one the human resources that be used provide education community or their group regarding control handling past accidents.Methods: The method is through training which includes safety riding aid. Extension activities were carried out online by using zoom while offline at SMA N 2 Lamongan. materials provided students include basic life support, splints, ambulation. lectures, demonstrations - simulations, discussions. Media for delivering technology also prepared, namely form props.Results: students' before activity was less than 23 people (69.69%), enough 8 (24.24%), good (6.06%). While after 1 person (3.03%), only 16 (48.48%) (48.48%). results pre-test post-test showed increase about aid.Conclusion: Efforts establish a safe done involving as components society expected agents change controlling accidents.Keywords: riding, community, promotive, accident
